COVID-19 has made entry into Thailand more difficult than before. Multiple documents are now required to travel, and the restrictions have multiplied. Certificate of Entry (COE) is a mandatory document for entry to Thailand, which requires much patience and effort to process.
To replace the Certificate of Entry (COE) system, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is working with the Digital Government Development Agency (DGDA).
With Thailand’s full reopening, an easing of restrictions, and a goal to revitalize Thailand’s economy, the Thai government intends to replace the slow-paced COE system with a quicker Thailand Pass help by November 1, 2021.

What the Thailand Pass Is
Thailand Pass is a free, web-based application that facilitates entry documents in a more efficient manner. Instead of using the Certificate of Entry app, travelers can use Thailand Pass.
The purpose of the form is to collect information for entry forms. However, it also collects health information, such as vaccination certificates, and facilitates the filing of TM6 and T8 forms. It is an improvement over the Certificate of Entry (COE).
Anyone can purchase a Thailand Pass
Whether Thai or foreign, all travelers are required to obtain a Thailand Pass based on the following regulations:
1. The government of Thailand will allow fully vaccinated travelers, regardless of their nationality, entry without requiring them to stay in a quarantine or sandbox. During the time they await the results of the COVID 19 RT-PCR test which was taken after arrival, they should stay for one night in an ASQ or SHA+ hotel.
Quarantine-free countries currently number 63, with a total of 63 countries on the list. Thailand (except those who have travelled from Thailand) requires that you have spent at least 21 days in the countries below before traveling. With vaccinated parents, unvaccinated children under 12 years old don’t have to be quarantined.
2. In the Sandbox Program, travellers from non-listed countries are allowed to enter Thailand with full vaccination without quarantine. Sandboxes can be found in Bangkok, Pattaya, Hua Hin, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Samui, for example.
The Sandbox areas require them to stay in a hotel accredited by SHA+ for a minimum of seven nights before traveling to other parts of Thailand. Vaccinated children under the age of 18 may not be quarantined if they are traveling with unvaccinated parents over age 12.
