Tourist Attractions

Famous for its covered bridges, Cottage Grove is being frequented by visitors to have a look of the six of the twenty covered bridges in Lane County. These bridges are Currin Bridge, Centennial Bridge, Mosby Creek Bridge, Chambers Railroad Bridge, Dorene Bridge and Stewart Bridge. Now the only remaining covered bridge in the entire Oregon, the Chambers Rairoad Bridge built in 1925 up to now shows no sign of major disintegration or repair. This well-built structure made out of timbers still captures the attention of delighted visitors. A new tourist attraction calls the attention of guests with the restoration of the Cottage Grove Armory. Built in 1931 and has been a home to the Oregon National Guard, this armory now conducts guided tours inside the building.
