In Langhe Wine Region: Cellars, Wineries, Vineyards Of Piedmont
In the Langhe region there are many vineyards and wineries, which are known for red wines such as Barolo, Barbaresco, and Nebbiolo. Langhe offers good wines almost everywhere, but if you want to take some bottles home, my recommendation is to visit a winery’s cellar directly. If you don’t have much time, though, and you are looking for something special, I suggest that you visit two Langhe wineries.
At the Terra del Barolo winery in Castiglione Falletto village, the Langhe Wine Region’s first stop is. A bottle of Barolo wine is readily available here, as are the less expensive (although equally good) red Italian wines Dolcetto and Nebbiolo. Contrary to popular belief, if you like white Italian wines from Piedmont, go for Arneis or Favorita!
